Hi Guys,
May, was my twenty year anniversary in comedy.
God gave me a vision to do stand up comedy and I thought He was absolutely insane. Fast forward three months later, I was on stage at the world famous Improv comedy club. Fast forward 6 months later, I was on stage with Zach Levi (Shazam), Comedian Bone and Sherri Shephard. You should watch her talk show.
The picture below was at my book release party with Robert G. Lee, Ron Pearson, Zach Levi (Shazam), Sherri Shephard and Comedian Bone. They all read chapters from it. Because of that one night in 2003, I got to go on tour with Sherri and 6 months later I was doing comedy full time.
That is nothing short of a miracle. But God was preparing me many years before I ever started stand up comedy. Every terrible day job or terrible audition or terrible acting, silly movie role was building my stand up act. My dating life became a book, then a film script!!!
So here we are 20 yrs later. Who knew? God did. I told God I would dedicate my entire comedy career to Him. And I feel stronger than ever that I'm just getting started. Some of you have been on the ride with me the entire time and some of you are new passengers.
