Tell me I'm Not Alone.
Close your eyes and listen.
Listening to Sailing by Christopher Cross...
How can a song that I used to roller skate in my basement to now bring me to tears?
I took this picture Friday night in my hotel room. I heard this song of nostalgia. I'm missing my kids. My parents are getting older.

Nobody prepares you for this part.....the middle. The words of this song hit differently today.
I'm giving myself permission to feel what I feel. It doesn't always have to be perky. Even though social media brainwashes us into only putting out the perfect moments....you know - the ones that are retouched and filtered.
I miss roller skating in my basement to my Fisher Price record player while my mom made lasagna upstairs to this song. We would then all watch Happy Days. I went to bed every night feeling safe with my Raggedy Ann dolls and Cabbage Patch Kids.
I was blessed.
I was free of the worries I face now.
I think this could be the song of my childhood that hits the hardest
What's yours?
